DAIS Crisis Intervention Advocates are often the first point of contact for clients seeking access to our services. Our Crisis Intervention Advocates assist victims and survivors, their friends, families, and other concerned community members impacted by domestic violence issues. Crisis Intervention Advocates provide crisis intervention, crisis counseling and support, personalized safety planning, internal referrals to other DAIS programs, and community resource referrals to individuals utilizing crisis intake services at DAIS, which include the 24/7 Help Line program (phone and text), walk-in clients, and our law enforcement referral program. Variable Part-time positions may work various hours and shifts as scheduled. Shifts may include daytime, evening, holiday, or overnight shifts based on scheduling needs to ensure 24/7 coverage.

DAIS Shelter Advocates work to ensure that victims of intimate partner violence and their children staying in our emergency shelter have a safe, dignified, and empowered experience as they work to address the impact of intimate partner violence in their lives.
