Case Manager

Full Time: non-exempt 

Pay range: $21.00 per hour + benefits

 

DAIS is seeking a Case Manager to join our team.  Case Managers at DAIS provide comprehensive, trauma-informed case management services that include Crisis Management, Safety Planning, Resource Referrals, Parenting Support and more.  Successful candidates will have experience working with individuals from diverse backgrounds and will be highly collaborative. No two days will be the same – each client comes to us with their own unique situation. A valid driver’s license, a satisfactory driving record, vehicle insurance and access to an automobile for use during work hours is required.

Crisis Intervention Advocate

Variable Part-time: 10-19 hours/week, primarily overnight & weekend shifts

Pay range: $21.00 per hour + $2.50 shift differential for hours worked between 11pm-7am (full time position includes benefits)

 

DAIS Crisis Intervention Advocates are often the first point of contact for clients seeking access to our services. Our Crisis Intervention Advocates assist victims and survivors, their friends, families, and other concerned community members impacted by domestic violence issues. Crisis Intervention Advocates provide crisis intervention, crisis counseling and support, personalized safety planning, internal referrals to other DAIS programs, and community resource referrals to individuals utilizing crisis intake services at DAIS, which include the 24/7 Help Line program (phone and text), walk-in clients, and our law enforcement referral program.

Security Operations Associate

Variable Part-time: 10-19 hours/week, primarily 1st and 2nd shift, varying days 

Pay range: $17-17.50 per hour  + $2.50 shift differential for hours worked between 11pm-7am 

 

Greet clients and residents while you monitor the safety and security of our emergency domestic violence shelter facility.  If you remain calm in emergency situations and want to be part of a team committed to strengthen and empower the families using our services, this may be the position for you.  Great for students – provides flexibility to study during down time!  Help make a difference in our community and the lives of our residents and clients.  Current openings are primarily 1st and 2nd shifts, varying shifts including weekdays, weekends and holiday rotation as needed.

Shelter Advocate

Full Time: 2nd shift, Monday – Friday 2pm-10pm

Pay range: $21 per hour  + $2.50 shift differential for hours worked between 11pm-7am (full time position includes benefits)

 

DAIS Shelter Advocates work to ensure that victims of intimate partner violence and their children staying in our emergency shelter have a safe, dignified, and empowered experience as they work to address the impact of intimate partner violence in their lives. Variable part-time Shelter Advocates primarily work overnight and weekend shifts and may occasionally cover weekday and evening shifts. Overnight shifts are awake shifts.

 

Primary responsibilities that contribute to a safe, dignified, and empowered experience for clients include:

  • Maintaining cleanliness in shelter common areas, including the shelter kitchen; engaging clients to participate in efforts
  • Cleaning and preparing rooms for client intakes
  • Assisting clients with daily living needs
  • Understanding and utilizing principles of trauma informed care and the empowerment philosophy of advocacy to support clients
  • Conducting shelter intakes and shelter orientations
  • Supporting other client and crisis services as needed, including providing help line coverage, monitoring security cameras, and providing building access to shelter clients
  • Communicating shelter rules and communal living guidelines to clients and addressing difficulties or problems that arise
  • Maintaining professionalism and professional boundaries with clients and staff alike
  • Demonstrating humility
