Crisis Intervention Advocate

Variable Part-time: 10-19 hours/week, primarily evening, overnight & weekend shifts

Pay range: $21 per hour + $2.50 shift differential for hours worked between 11pm-7am

 

DAIS Crisis Intervention Advocates are often the first point of contact for clients seeking access to our services. Our Crisis Intervention Advocates assist victims and survivors, their friends, families, and other concerned community members impacted by domestic violence issues. Crisis Intervention Advocates provide crisis intervention, crisis counseling and support, personalized safety planning, internal referrals to other DAIS programs, and community resource referrals to individuals utilizing crisis intake services at DAIS, which include the 24/7 Help Line program (phone and text), walk-in clients, and our law enforcement referral program. Variable Part-time positions may work various hours and shifts as scheduled, shifts may include daytime, evening or overnight shifts based on scheduling needs to ensure 24/7 coverage.

Legal Advocate

Full-time: $20-21/hour + benefits

 

Support, empower and advocate for victims of domestic violence. We are seeking a passionate and committed Legal Advocate to join our dedicated team that provides support, information and advocacy to victims of domestic violence as they navigate the legal systems in Dane County. The Legal Advocate provides direct services to victims, including court accompaniment, and assistance with legal referrals, restraining orders, civil, criminal, and other court matters. The Legal Advocate acts as a Service Representative per WI§ 895.45., is not a lawyer or attorney and does not provide legal advice.

Overnight Advocate

Full Time 3rd shift, Sunday-Thursday 11pm-7am

Pay range: $21 per hour + $2.50 shift differential for hours worked between 11pm-7am

 

DAIS Overnight Advocates work to ensure that victims of intimate partner violence and their children staying in our 24/7 emergency shelter have a safe, dignified, and empowered experience as they work to address the impact of intimate partner violence in their lives. In addition, Advocates are often the first point of contact for clients seeking access to our services through our 24/7 Help Line program (phone and text), where they assist victims and survivors, their friends, families, and other concerned community members impacted by domestic violence issues. This is an awake position.

Shelter Advocate – Full Time & Variable Part-Time

Full Time: 2nd shift; Tuesday – Saturday 3pm-11pm

Variable Part-time: 10-19 hours/week, primarily overnight & weekend shifts

Pay range: $21 per hour  + $2.50 shift differential for hours worked between 11pm-7am

 

DAIS Shelter Advocates work to ensure that victims of intimate partner violence and their children staying in our emergency shelter have a safe, dignified, and empowered experience as they work to address the impact of intimate partner violence in their lives. Variable part-time Shelter Advocates primarily work overnight and weekend shifts and may occasionally cover weekday and evening shifts. Overnight shifts are awake shifts.

Youth Violence Prevention Advocate

Full-time: $21 per hour
