Support Group

Support Groups are back!

DAIS offers two weekly Community Support Groups for anyone who identifies as a female across Dane County. There will be more support groups in the future.

Weekly groups are for women who have experienced intimate partner violence in their past and present relationships, and they may join the group at any time. The groups are “peer-based,” meaning participants share and support each other.

Children’s services are available for the weekly Thursday night groups so that participants may bring their children with them to the group.

The Community Support Groups follow a regular format. We start with a check-in (name, how they are feeling if they want to share), then share and offer open feedback/discussion if desired. Inspirational quotes and resources will be shared.

Support Groups Available:

  • Thursdays: 6:30 pm – 8:00 pm (open to all female-identified survivors of IPV)
  • Fridays: 12:00pm – 1:30pm, Women with VISION (50 and older)
