24 Hour Help Line

 

DAIS Help Line Advocates provide support, information, safety planning, referrals to DAIS services and community agencies, and complete initial shelter screenings.

Case Management Services

 

Case Managers work with clients to assess their needs and work together with the client to establish a service plan, provide support, information, resources, assistance with safety planning and referrals to other services. Referral to a Case Manager begins with a call to our Help Line.

 

Support Groups

 

Weekly “Support Groups” are for women who have experienced intimate partner violence in their past and present relationships, and they may join the group at any time. The groups are “peer-based,” meaning participants share and support each other.

 

Shelter

 

DAIS provides temporary shelter for victims of domestic abuse and their children. Each resident is provided Case Management services. Support resources provided for children and adults including housing advocacy, information and referrals, support groups, and time and space to heal. Referral to Shelter begins with a call to our Help Line.

 

Parent, Child, and Youth Advocacy

 

The Parent, Child, and Youth Advocacy (PCYA) program provides support, information, programming and referrals. PCYA staff can assist with advocacy around the impact of domestic violence on families, childcare and education, parenting, family safety planning and teen support. Parent, Child and Youth services are available to all DAIS clients, a referral to these services begins with a call to our Help Line.

Legal Advocacy Services

 

DAIS Legal Advocates provide support, information, advocacy, and court accompaniment to people who have experienced domestic abuse and stalking, including assistance with restraining orders and family, criminal, immigration, and other legal matters. Legal Advocates are not attorneys and cannot give legal advice. A referral to Legal services begins with a call to our Help Line.

 

Community Education

 

DAIS provides a variety of community education presentations and workshops to any audience looking to learn more about different topics related to DV and IPV. Audiences can range from faith-based groups to identity organizations, to civic organizations. All of our presentations are offered at no cost. Primary Prevention

 

The DAIS primary prevention program works collaboratively with community partners with the goal of eradicating domestic violence and sexual assault through social change and community building.
